This artwork by Judy Cassab achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Melbourne in May 2002. In the AUSTRALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS auction, the work Figure sold for AUD 5,287.50 (€ 3,204.55) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 2,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Judy Cassab; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Girl with Bruegel 2 sold at auction in August 2003 with the realized price of AUD 6,462.50 (€ 3,817.73).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Judy Cassab erzielte im Mai 2002 bei Christies in Melbourne einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion AUSTRALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS wurde die Arbeit Figure für AUD 5.287,50 (€ 3.204,55) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von AUD 2.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Judy Cassab; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Girl with Bruegel 2 im August 2003 mit dem Hammerpreis von AUD 6.462,50 (€ 3.817,73).
