This artwork by Judy Cassab achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Sidney in June last year. In the Sherman | Prints & Multiples auction, the work Untitled (Max Ernst on Pompidou Terrace with the Old Parisian Houses), 1992 sold for AUD 1,353.00 (€ 1,292.39) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Judy Cassab - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Girl with Bruegel 2, which sold at auction in August 2003 for AUD 6,462.50 (€ 3,817.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Judy Cassab erzielte im Juni letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Sidney einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Sherman | Prints & Multiples wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Max Ernst on Pompidou Terrace with the Old Parisian Houses), 1992 für AUD 1.353,00 (€ 1.292,39) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von AUD 600,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Judy Cassab mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Girl with Bruegel 2 beobachtet, die im August 2003 für AUD 6.462,50 (€ 3.817,73) versteigert wurde.
