Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Juan Manuel Hernández could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in July 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Online: NYC auction, the work Montaña De Fuego changed hands for USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,017.43) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Juan Manuel Hernández have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work El Encuentro I And Ii (Dyptich) in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 107,500.00 (€ 82,463.95).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Juan Manuel Hernández konnte im Juli 2018 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Online: NYC wechselte die Arbeit Montaña De Fuego für USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.017,43) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Juan Manuel Hernández auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit El Encuentro I And Ii (Dyptich) im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 107.500,00 (€ 82.463,95).
