Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Juan Manuel Hernández achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in May 2010. In the Latin American Art auction, the work Sombras En El Camino sold for USD 46,875.00 (€ 37,897.16) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Juan Manuel Hernández - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work El Encuentro I And Ii (Dyptich), which sold at auction in November 2010 for USD 107,500.00 (€ 82,463.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Juan Manuel Hernández erzielte im Mai 2010 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Latin American Art wurde die Arbeit Sombras En El Camino für USD 46.875,00 (€ 37.897,16) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Juan Manuel Hernández mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit El Encuentro I And Ii (Dyptich) beobachtet, die im November 2010 für USD 107.500,00 (€ 82.463,95) versteigert wurde.
