Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Habitantes Del Bosque by Juan Manuel Hernández was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2012. The »bidding war« ended at USD 40,625.00 (€ 31,225.98), 16% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Juan Manuel Hernández - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work El Encuentro I And Ii (Dyptich), which sold at auction in November 2010 for USD 107,500.00 (€ 82,463.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Habitantes Del Bosque von Juan Manuel Hernández wurde im November 2012 in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 40.625,00 (€ 31.225,98) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Juan Manuel Hernández mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit El Encuentro I And Ii (Dyptich) beobachtet, die im November 2010 für USD 107.500,00 (€ 82.463,95) versteigert wurde.
