Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Urban Landscape by Juan Cárdenas for USD 11,250.00 (€ 7,659.31). This price was achieved in the auction Latin American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Juan Cárdenas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Night and Day in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 36,383.48).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Urban Landscape von Juan Cárdenas für USD 11.250,00 (€ 7.659,31) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Juan Cárdenas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Night and Day im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 36.383,48).
