Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2016 Phillips in New York held the auction Latin America, which included the work Paisaje by Juan Cárdenas. The »bidding war« ended at USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,716.21), 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Juan Cárdenas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Night and Day, which sold at auction in May 2015 for USD 40,000.00 (€ 36,383.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2016 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Latin America durch, in der auch die Arbeit Paisaje von Juan Cárdenas zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 15.716,21) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Juan Cárdenas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Night and Day beobachtet, die im Mai 2015 für USD 40.000,00 (€ 36.383,48) versteigert wurde.
