Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sans titre by Juan Cárdenas was sold in the Art Contemporain Vente du Jour auction at Christies in Paris in June 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 15,000.00 – 2,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 22,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Juan Cárdenas have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2015 the work Night and Day was auctioned for USD 40,000.00 (€ 36,383.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sans titre von Juan Cárdenas wurde im Juni 2016 in der Auktion Art Contemporain Vente du Jour bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 2.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 22.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Juan Cárdenas konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2015 die Arbeit Night and Day für USD 40.000,00 (€ 36.383,48) versteigert.
