Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2015 Christies in London held the auction Impressionist/Modern Day Sale, which included the work Model for Count Tivadar Andrássy service by József Rippl-Rónai. The price achieved of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 25,853.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by József Rippl-Rónai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Three Figures, which sold at auction in November 2007 for USD 145,000.00 (€ 98,720.04).
