Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mother And Child Looking Out To Sea by Jozef Israëls was sold in the Israeli and International Art auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2019. It changed hands for a price of USD 32,500.00 (€ 29,494.51) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jozef Israëls have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dutch dreams (Dolce Far Niente) in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 293,000.00 (€ 225,592.85).

Die Arbeit Mother And Child Looking Out To Sea von Jozef Israëls wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion Israeli and International Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 29.494,51) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jozef Israëls auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dutch dreams (Dolce Far Niente) im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 293.000,00 (€ 225.592,85).
