The work Kinderen der zee; children playing in the surf by Jozef Israëls was worth GBP 60,000.00 (€ 66,925.43) to a buyer in July 2020. This price was achieved in the auction British & European Art at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jozef Israëls - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dutch dreams (Dolce Far Niente), which sold at auction in May 2013 for USD 293,000.00 (€ 225,592.85).

Die Arbeit Kinderen der zee; children playing in the surf von Jozef Israëls war einem Käufer im Juli 2020 GBP 60.000,00 (€ 66.925,43) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion British & European Art bei Christies in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Jozef Israëls mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dutch dreams (Dolce Far Niente) beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für USD 293.000,00 (€ 225.592,85) versteigert wurde.
