Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Phillips in London held the auction New Now, which included the work Mickey by Joyce Pensato. The price achieved of GBP 10,080.00 (€ 12,020.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joyce Pensato achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sunset Batman in December 2020 with an auction result of HKD 2,250,000.00 (€ 237,326.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mickey von Joyce Pensato zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.080,00 (€ 12.020,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joyce Pensato erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sunset Batman im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.250.000,00 (€ 237.326,25).
