In December 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction Israeli & International Art, which included the work Variation On One Concept I by Joseph Zaritsky. The result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 10,886.13) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Joseph Zaritsky have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Painting - Flowers in October 2003 with an auction result of USD 86,040.00 (€ 74,114.91).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2013 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Israeli & International Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Variation On One Concept I von Joseph Zaritsky zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 10.886,13) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joseph Zaritsky auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Painting - Flowers im Oktober 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 86.040,00 (€ 74.114,91).
