Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled by Joseph Zaritsky was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,511.19) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Joseph Zaritsky have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Painting - Flowers in October 2003 with an auction result of USD 86,040.00 (€ 74,114.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled von Joseph Zaritsky kam im Dezember 2015 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.511,19) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joseph Zaritsky auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Painting - Flowers im Oktober 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 86.040,00 (€ 74.114,91).
