Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2018 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Joseph Zaritsky for USD 16,250.00 (€ 14,184.71). This price was achieved in the auction Israeli & International Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Joseph Zaritsky have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Painting - Flowers in October 2003 with an auction result of USD 86,040.00 (€ 74,114.91).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2018 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Joseph Zaritsky für USD 16.250,00 (€ 14.184,71) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Israeli & International Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 18.000,00 – 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joseph Zaritsky auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Painting - Flowers im Oktober 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 86.040,00 (€ 74.114,91).
