Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life with Window by Joseph Zaritsky was auctioned at Christies in Tel Aviv in April 2001. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,287.50 (€ 5,958.42) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Zaritsky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Painting - Flowers in October 2003 with an auction result of USD 86,040.00 (€ 74,114.91).

Die Arbeit Still Life with Window von Joseph Zaritsky kam im April 2001 bei Christies in Tel Aviv zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 5.287,50 (€ 5.958,42) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joseph Zaritsky erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Painting - Flowers im Oktober 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 86.040,00 (€ 74.114,91).
