In February last year Christies in New York held the auction Outsider Art, which included the work Mount Cavalry, Jerusalem Judea, circa 1965 by Joseph Yoakum. The »bidding war« ended at USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,136.85), 39% above the upper estimate. Other works by Joseph Yoakum have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 22,500.00 (€ 20,046.33) in February last year for the work Mt Nev De Samaja of Las Andes Mtn Range Near La Paz Bolovia South America, 1964.
