Auction result well in line with expectations
In January this year Christies held the auction Outsider and Vernacular Art, which included the work Bradley Peak Mtn by Joseph Yoakum. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 20,160.00 (€ 18,566.96) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Joseph Yoakum have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February last year the work Mt Nev De Samaja of Las Andes Mtn Range Near La Paz Bolovia South America, 1964 was auctioned for USD 22,500.00 (€ 20,046.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar diesen Jahres führte Christies die Auktion Outsider and Vernacular Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bradley Peak Mtn von Joseph Yoakum zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 20.160,00 (€ 18.566,96) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Joseph Yoakum konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Februar letzten Jahres die Arbeit Mt Nev De Samaja of Las Andes Mtn Range Near La Paz Bolovia South America, 1964 für USD 22.500,00 (€ 20.046,33) versteigert.
