In January 2012 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work View Near Solihull, Warwickshire by Joseph Thors. The result of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,810.39) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Joseph Thors have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Figures in an extensive wooded landscape in May 2002 with an auction result of GBP 6,462.50 (€ 10,120.36).

Im Januar 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit View Near Solihull, Warwickshire von Joseph Thors zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.810,39) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joseph Thors auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Figures in an extensive wooded landscape im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.462,50 (€ 10.120,36).
