Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2011 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Rustics on a track before a windmill by Joseph Thors. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,880.63) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Joseph Thors have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Figures in an extensive wooded landscape in May 2002 with an auction result of GBP 6,462.50 (€ 10,120.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rustics on a track before a windmill von Joseph Thors zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.880,63) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joseph Thors auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Figures in an extensive wooded landscape im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.462,50 (€ 10.120,36).
