Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2008 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Near Guilford, Surrey by Joseph Thors. The price achieved of GBP 687.50 (€ 873.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Thors achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figures in an extensive wooded landscape in May 2002 with an auction result of GBP 6,462.50 (€ 10,120.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Near Guilford, Surrey von Joseph Thors zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 687,50 (€ 873,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joseph Thors erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Figures in an extensive wooded landscape im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.462,50 (€ 10.120,36).
