Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A herder approaching a lily pond; and Feeding the chickens by Joseph Thors was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in London in January 2009. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,407.08). Admittedly, works by Joseph Thors have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Figures in an extensive wooded landscape in May 2002 with an auction result of GBP 6,462.50 (€ 10,120.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A herder approaching a lily pond; and Feeding the chickens von Joseph Thors wurde im Januar 2009 in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.407,08) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joseph Thors auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Figures in an extensive wooded landscape im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.462,50 (€ 10.120,36).
