Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Taos Floral 24 x 20 in. framed 31 1/4 x 27 1/4 in. by Joseph Henry Sharp was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 12,112.50 (€ 11,733.51). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Henry Sharp achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Medicine Teepee in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,497,000.00 (€ 962,082.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Taos Floral 24 x 20 in. framed 31 1/4 x 27 1/4 in. von Joseph Henry Sharp kam im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 12.112,50 (€ 11.733,51) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joseph Henry Sharp erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Medicine Teepee im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.497.000,00 (€ 962.082,26).
