Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Spring Hunting Talk 24 x 36 in. framed 32 x 44 in. by Joseph Henry Sharp was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 250,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 277,575.00 (€ 268,889.86). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joseph Henry Sharp - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Medicine Teepee, which sold at auction in May 2008 for USD 1,497,000.00 (€ 962,082.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Spring Hunting Talk 24 x 36 in. framed 32 x 44 in. von Joseph Henry Sharp kam im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 250.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 277.575,00 (€ 268.889,86) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Joseph Henry Sharp mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Medicine Teepee beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für USD 1.497.000,00 (€ 962.082,26) versteigert wurde.
