Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bawling Deer (Frank Martinez, Păh Wēlah) by Joseph Henry Sharp was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. The price achieved of USD 53,295.00 (€ 50,578.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Henry Sharp achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Medicine Teepee in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,497,000.00 (€ 962,082.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bawling Deer (Frank Martinez, Păh Wēlah) von Joseph Henry Sharp kam im April letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 53.295,00 (€ 50.578,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joseph Henry Sharp erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Medicine Teepee im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.497.000,00 (€ 962.082,26).
