Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bawling Deer (Frank Martinez, Păh Wēlah) by Joseph Henry Sharp was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. The price achieved of USD 53,295.00 (€ 50,578.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Henry Sharp achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Medicine Teepee in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,497,000.00 (€ 962,082.26).
