This artwork by Joseph Floch achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2009. In the American Paintings auction, the work Girl Looking out of Window sold for USD 43,750.00 (€ 29,904.31) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Joseph Floch; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Frau im roten Kleid sold at auction in July 2021 with the realized price of EUR 50,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Joseph Floch erzielte im September 2009 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Paintings wurde die Arbeit Girl Looking out of Window für USD 43.750,00 (€ 29.904,31) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Joseph Floch; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Frau im roten Kleid im Juli 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 50.000,00.
