This work without title by José Joya was sold in the Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. It achieved a price of HKD 2,740,000.00 (€ 295,002.52), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 52%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by José Joya; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Elysium sold at auction in May 2017 with the realized price of HKD 5,100,000.00 (€ 582,351.37).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von José Joya wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 2.740.000,00 (€ 295.002,52) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 52%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von José Joya; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Elysium im Mai 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 5.100.000,00 (€ 582.351,37).
