Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2017 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art – Day Sale, which included the work Abstract Landscape by José Joya. The price achieved of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,127.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by José Joya achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Elysium in May 2017 with an auction result of HKD 5,100,000.00 (€ 582,351.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2017 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art – Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Abstract Landscape von José Joya zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 4.127,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von José Joya erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Elysium im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.100.000,00 (€ 582.351,37).
