Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by José de Rivera was auctioned at Christies in New York in January 2008. The price achieved of USD 5,250.00 (€ 3,537.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by José de Rivera achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Brussels Construction in March 2012 with an auction result of USD 68,500.00 (€ 51,372.43).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von José de Rivera kam im Januar 2008 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.250,00 (€ 3.537,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von José de Rivera erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Brussels Construction im März 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 68.500,00 (€ 51.372,43).
