Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Construction No. 146 by José de Rivera was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art Online auction at Bonhams in New York in July last year. The price achieved of USD 3,825.00 (€ 3,749.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by José de Rivera achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Brussels Construction in March 2012 with an auction result of USD 68,500.00 (€ 51,372.43).
