Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Jose Dávila was sold in the Latin America auction at Phillips in New York in November 2014. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 15,074.77) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jose Dávila - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Buildings You Must See Before You Die, which sold at auction in April last year for USD 52,920.00 (€ 50,223.02).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jose Dávila wurde im November 2014 in der Auktion Latin America bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 15.074,77) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jose Dávila mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Buildings You Must See Before You Die beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für USD 52.920,00 (€ 50.223,02) versteigert wurde.
