Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Condensador com sistema de lentes by José Damasceno was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Christies in New York in May 2005. Here, the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 15,600.00 (€ 12,632.60). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by José Damasceno - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Eraser Sculpture, which sold at auction in September 2017 for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,199.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Condensador com sistema de lentes von José Damasceno wurde im Mai 2005 in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 15.600,00 (€ 12.632,60) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von José Damasceno mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Eraser Sculpture beobachtet, die im September 2017 für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.199,10) versteigert wurde.
