Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "Travels on Canvas #4", 2002 by Jorma Puranen was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in April this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 18,000.00 (€ 1,591.30). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jorma Puranen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Icy Prospects (No. 17) in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 13,200.00 (€ 19,588.14).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit "Travels on Canvas #4", 2002 von Jorma Puranen im April diesen Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 18.000,00 (€ 1.591,30) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jorma Puranen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Icy Prospects (No. 17) im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 13.200,00 (€ 19.588,14).
