Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2019 Christies in London held the auction First Open | Online, which included this untitled work by Jorge Pardo. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 3,949.34) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jorge Pardo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2006 with an auction result of USD 72,000.00 (€ 56,105.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion First Open | Online durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jorge Pardo zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 3.949,34) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jorge Pardo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 72.000,00 (€ 56.105,35).
