Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
This work without title by Jorge Eielson was worth USD 57,500.00 (€ 51,174.80) to a buyer in May 2017. This price was achieved in the auction Latin America at Phillips in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jorge Eielson; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Quipus 32 D-7 sold at auction in May 2018 with the realized price of USD 87,500.00 (€ 74,978.58).

Die Arbeit ohne Titel von Jorge Eielson war einem Käufer im Mai 2017 USD 57.500,00 (€ 51.174,80) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Latin America bei Phillips in New York erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jorge Eielson; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Quipus 32 D-7 im Mai 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 74.978,58).
