The work Studie 1956 by Joost Baljeu was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in Amsterdam in May 2011. The auction ended at the price of EUR 15,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Joost Baljeu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Synth. Constr. Wxi_4C in May 2019 with an auction result of EUR 137,500.00.

Die Arbeit Studie 1956 von Joost Baljeu wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in Amsterdam versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 15.000,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joost Baljeu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Synth. Constr. Wxi_4C im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 137.500,00.
