This artwork by Joost Baljeu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2005. In the TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART auction, the work Construction F8A sold for EUR 15,600.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Joost Baljeu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Synth. Constr. Wxi_4C in May 2019 with an auction result of EUR 137,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 95 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Joost Baljeu erzielte im November 2005 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART wurde die Arbeit Construction F8A für EUR 15.600,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joost Baljeu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Synth. Constr. Wxi_4C im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 137.500,00.
