Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Beak by Jon Pestoni was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in June 2015. The price achieved of USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,689.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jon Pestoni - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Loose Turn, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 43,750.00 (€ 41,422.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Beak von Jon Pestoni kam im Juni 2015 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 15.689,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jon Pestoni mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Loose Turn beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 43.750,00 (€ 41.422,08) versteigert wurde.
