Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by John Wonnacott could be acquired at Sothebys in London in November 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern & Post-War British Art auction, the work Self-Portrait With Electric Light Bulb changed hands for GBP 21,250.00 (€ 26,717.12) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Wonnacott - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Self-Portrait With Electric Light Bulb, which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 54,000.00 (€ 80,133.28).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
