Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,068.30), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Strickland Goodall - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Britishthe Tennis Party; Tennis On A Summer'S Afternoon, which sold at auction in October 2008 for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 7,169.86).
