The auction ended at the price of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,254.94), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Strickland Goodall - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Britishthe Tennis Party; Tennis On A Summer'S Afternoon, which sold at auction in October 2008 for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 7,169.86).
