Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,920.00 (€ 2,851.64). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Strickland Goodall - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Britishthe Tennis Party; Tennis On A Summer'S Afternoon, which sold at auction in October 2008 for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 7,169.86).

Die Arbeit The Tennis Match von John Strickland Goodall wurde im Juli 2007 in der Auktion British & Continental Pictures including Sporting and Marine Paintings bei Sothebys in Olympia versteigert.
