Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait IV by John Stezaker was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in London in March last year. The price achieved of GBP 6,300.00 (€ 7,469.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Stezaker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Kiss I in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 28,750.00 (€ 33,347.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait IV von John Stezaker wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.300,00 (€ 7.469,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Stezaker auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Kiss I im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 28.750,00 (€ 33.347,94).
