The work A Crowd Gathering By A Fountain by John Skinner Prout was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2008. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 600.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 687.50 (€ 876.47). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Skinner Prout achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tom Thumb's Lagoon, 1844 in November 2020 with an auction result of AUD 55,350.00 (€ 46,325.74).
