Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2017 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters including Old Master & British Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work Portrait Of An Unidentified Lady, Half-Length, Seated In A Parkland Landscape by John Russell. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,657.40). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Russell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait De Lady Georgiana Cavendish (1783-1858), Future Comtesse De Carlisle, À L'Âge De 6 Ans in November 2020 with an auction result of EUR 45,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters including Old Master & British Drawings and Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of An Unidentified Lady, Half-Length, Seated In A Parkland Landscape von John Russell zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.657,40) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Russell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait De Lady Georgiana Cavendish (1783-1858), Future Comtesse De Carlisle, À L'Âge De 6 Ans im November 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 45.500,00.
