Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,818.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Rogers Herbert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Our Saviour subject to his Parents at Nazareth, which sold at auction in February 2003 for GBP 38,240.00 (€ 55,829.19).
