Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Boar Hunters Refreshed At St. Augustine'S Monastery, Canterbury, A Sketch by John Rogers Herbert was sold in the British and Victorian Paintings auction at Christies in London in September 2004. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,075.50 (€ 1,566.87) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Rogers Herbert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Our Saviour subject to his Parents at Nazareth in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 38,240.00 (€ 55,829.19).

Die Arbeit Boar Hunters Refreshed At St. Augustine'S Monastery, Canterbury, A Sketch von John Rogers Herbert wurde im September 2004 in der Auktion British and Victorian Paintings bei Christies in London versteigert.
