In the Important Paintings auction, the work Australian Picnic Under The Chestnut Tree changed hands for AUD 38,400.00 (€ 23,232.89) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of AUD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Perceval achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian Ship'S Graveyard in November 2007 with an auction result of AUD 468,000.00 (€ 281,921.57).
