Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Australian Customs House, Williamstown by John Perceval was auctioned at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2007. The price achieved of AUD 10,200.00 (€ 6,099.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 7,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Perceval achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian Ship'S Graveyard in November 2007 with an auction result of AUD 468,000.00 (€ 281,921.57).
