The price achieved of AUD 72,000.00 (€ 44,271.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Perceval have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian Ship'S Graveyard in November 2007 with an auction result of AUD 468,000.00 (€ 281,921.57).
