Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Australian Broken Tree And Frog Pond by John Perceval was sold in the Important Australian Art Including Works from the Qantas Collection auction at Sothebys in Sydney in May 2007. The price achieved of AUD 72,000.00 (€ 44,271.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Perceval have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian Ship'S Graveyard in November 2007 with an auction result of AUD 468,000.00 (€ 281,921.57).
